- Famous and well-established shop, offering souvenirs and also eat-in options.
- Established around 1870. The sesame tofu of Koyasan uses only the inner kernel, with the seed coat removed, so the product is white and light flavoured without oiliness. At Hamadaya we chant the Heart Sutra once and Kobo Daishi’s name three times during the manufacturing process to show our gratitude to those visiting Koyasan.
